"I thought I would be doing myself a service by going to a local agency to cover my camper on a piece of land in the area. I was wrong. Lesson learned. Do not use this agency, or this agent. After finding out that I was being charged for internal contents coverage on a house and not just basic comprehensive coverage on a camper which Lauri thought was my main dwelling (something else they got wrong), I requested my money back. She continued to try and build a case for me being in the wrong, I humored her questions, but I was not the one who created the policy, I was the one who came to them for coverage on a camper, that was it. She continued on in a condescending tone and a sarcastic line of questioning and repeatedly said, "I just don't understand." After going in circles, I just wanted to get her off the phone. Insurance is a scam in general, it's even more insulting to deal with someone who won't take responsibility for incorrect charges. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I wish you could choose 'no stars.' Good luck to all of you."

"And here we are months later and my parents have still not received their refund check. What gives Lauri? I’ve never had a business dealing with anyone that has been more rude or condescending than Lauri.
Hardin County peeps: if you do business with Lauri Thompson at State Farm, beware. Lauri just laughed in my face after I’ve been waiting on a refund check for my parents since June.
She wrote a policy on 2 vehicles that were already covered by Farmer’s and LAUGHED in my face when asking where their refund check was which I was already told was sent out multiple times by Kelsey in her office. I will make sure she doesn’t get another dime from my parents or anyone else I know if I can help it."

"I tried to get insurance through this place they declined me for reasons I never heard of credit history or something else I tried to make it plain and simple but to be honest I wouldn't recommend these people they absolutely love giving people who can't drive insurance but anyone else can eat dust if your looking for automotive insurance would not recommend here because it takes one little stupid thing to not get approved for insurance not trying to get loan or anything just insurance"

"My fiancé has been dealing with all of our insurance purposes and we really loved State Farm!!
until our first claim, now we are almost a month in from the claim and I had to be added to the policy sure no problem now we have been waiting another week bc the underwriting department or what ever no one helps you when a claim has been started
Literally cannot get the agents office on the phone unless you call 20 times in a row it’s honestly the worsts customer service I have ever had on the 1800 number talking over you won’t let you speak
With the claim it’s one thing after another need this need that everything takes 2 days to update in their stupid system
I’m out $2500 on a deposit on the new boat Friday if they complete the claim that they have been holding onto for a month
I just told my wife to let them know we won’t be renewing our policy with state farm in August due to their poor customer service
Side note the front desk ladie at the office is the best employee by far with this company and the only helpful one as it seems thus far"

"Edited to add.. Laurie Thompson called and asked me to remove my review even though it's 100% accurate. I'll leave it and find a new agent that's willing to work and help customers.
Laurie is our agent yet isn't in office and Kelsey is of zero help. Trying to get through to main company with 1-800 and goes back to Laurie's office again with zero help from Kelsey. Super frustrating"
